Happy Hiking Brand Ambassador

Happy Hiking Brand Ambassador - Happy Hiking

I am absolutely delighted to announce that we have a new Brand Ambassador - Sanne Nielsen from @WanderWomanDK

I asked Sanne a few questions about herself….

Tell us a little bit about yourself Sanne.
I am 53 years old and I work and live in Copenhagen. I am a very positive, social and an adventure-seeking woman, curious about life and always searching for exciting experiences and people that make me happy.

I like being active, and hiking has especially become a passion of my life.

How did you get into hiking?
I have always been curious about the Camino in Spain and when I found myself in a midlife crisis, I decided that this was the right time to walk the Camino - and so I did. It changed my life completely in a very positive way and I have been passionate about hiking ever since.

What has been your hardest challenge?
It was no doubt the Camino Primitivo in Spain in the Spring of 2018 (350 km and 10.000 altimeters in 11 days). It was physically and mentally very hard, but I would do it again at any time. The Camino spirit is something very special.

What has been your proudest achievement on your journey so far?
Again I have to choose the Camino Primitivo, but also hiking all by myself along the coast of Bornholm in 2019 (120 km in 4 days) is something I'm very proud of.

What do you do when you’re not out in nature?
I work as a legal secretary in central Copenhagen, and in my sparetime, I visit family and friends (or I enjoy aromatherapy as a Sauna Master in a spa and sauna club).

We will be working with Sanne supporting her with luxury mohair hiking socks to keep her feet fresh and blister free. Sanne will also be giving us some great inspiration for hikers, so keep an eye on our Instagram feed and to stay up to date with her news.

Our partnership with Sanne further builds on Happy Hiking’s connection with relatable profiles who enjoy hiking and are a natural inspiration to others.
